AUSJAZZ Projects has been commissioned by the Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) to provide information on all compositions by Australian jazz composers that were included on CDs released between July 1, 2003 and December 31, 2004.
From this raw material, APRA inspects broadcasting and performance records and determines which compositions go on the short list for the APRA Award for Most Performed Jazz Composition of the Year.
APRA would therefore be most grateful if all Australian jazz composers would send to Eric Myers at AUSJAZZ Projects either :
- a copy of CDs released from July 1, 2003 to December 31, 2004,or
- information on compositions performed on CDs released in this period from which APRA and AUSJAZZ Projects can determine to the greatest possible extent, all jazz compositions which are eligible for this prestigious Award.
