The finalists for the 2008 Australian Jazz Bell Awards have been announced.

Chairman of the Awards Albert Dadon said there was a record number of entries this year and selecting the finalists was a difficult job.

“The quality of the participants is very high and is a reflection of the high standard of Australian jazz musicians,” he said.

The 2008 inductee into the Graeme Bell Hall of Fame and other winners will be announced at a function to be attended by Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard. The free event will take place at 6pm, Tuesday, 29 April at BMW Edge in Federation Square, Melbourne.
