Australian independent jazz music wanted for AIR’s Annual Compilation, 2006.
AIR [Association of Independent Records] is gearing up to produce Vol.8 of our annual music compilation, a one of a kind annual collection of diverse new independent Australian music, from independent Australian labels.
AIR will be producing a music collection covering a variety of genres, with 5000 discs to be produced and distributed nationally and internationally, at trade fairs including MIDEM (France), Popkomm (Germany), large international events and festivals, plus dedicated national distribution and promotion to Australian radio, music media and industry. Artists involved will also benefit from year long exposure on AIR’s website and online jukebox, which receives hundreds of page visits each week.
Submissions are now open to Australian artists, and Australian owned labels, with a $10.00 submission fee per track. The final decision as to which tracks will be included will be made by AIR’s selection panel of industry professionals, with successful artists being notified in late November and required to pay a moderate production fee of $330 (inc GST).
