Following the successful launch of his highly praised third album Pendulum earlier this year, Gerard Masters takes his trio on a lightning five cities in five days tour around the country.

Whilst remaining true to the jazz piano trio tradition, there’s a pop/rock sensibility which Gerard brings to the band via four years touring and recording with artists such as Missy Higgins and Ben Gillies from Silverchair. There is also a strong blues/roots tinge to some of the tracks, as is evident in ‘Stockton Shuffle’ and some what more elusively in ‘Richie P’. As always Cameron Undy steers the ship to higher ground with his uncompromising dedication to solid and extrapolating bassline construction perfectly complimented by the group’s most recent addition, drummer Evan Mannell.

The Gerard Masters Trio has been performing together since 2000 and have developed into one of Australia’s finest modern jazz groups.

Led by New Zealand born Gerard Masters, the trio has been a significant part of Sydney label ‘Jazzgroove Records’ and has performed at major jazz festivals in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Europe.
