The first joint Perth Jazz Society and JAZZWA compilation CD of original jazz music by West Australian artists, entitled Here & Now, and recorded with the support of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, is now on sale and can be purchased from the Perth Jazz Society or from JAZZWA.
It will soon also be available through selected outlets in WA as well as online through Birdland in Sydney.
The recording and mixing was carried out at WAAPA in late November 2003, by Robert Sazdov-Maxim, and mastered by James Hewgill. The CD features 11 new original tracks by Graham Wood, Speedball, James Flynn, Grant Windsor, Troy Roberts, Ray Walker & Helen Matthews, Graeme Blevins Trio, Glyn MacDonald Trio, Frames of Minds, Libby Hammer and the Tom O’Halloran Trio.
