Winners of the first Jazzgroove recording artist aware – (The JARA)
Congratulations to the Alcohotlicks.
The Alcohotlicks are a Sydney based band formed in the later part of 2002 featuring 1st & 2nd place winners at the 07' Wangaratta Festival of Jazz, National Jazz Awards, Aaron Flower and Ben Hauptmann. The instrumentation of the band is unique comprising of two electric guitars and drummer, Evan Mannell.

Prize was a recording and promotions package to the value of $10,000 for the creation and presentation of new work to be released on the Jazzgroove Association’s record label and promoted by Eastside Radio.
The JARA is presented by The Jazzgroove Association in conjunction with Eastside Radio, and is generously supported by Venue 505, Free Energy Device and Ideas Farm.
