The Manhattan Transfer will be appearing at the Sydney Opera House on Friday 2nd & Sat 3rd September 2005, 8pm.

“The vocal quartet with the 33-year history leap frogs from era to era, and style to style, like groovers in a time machine”

The Manhattan Transfer has continued to win awards and re-define contemporary music since first stepping on to the stage in 1972. They return to Australia with their special blend of nostalgic jazz, pop, boogie woogie bop and swing.

The program includes greatest hits from their 33 year multi-platinum selling career including Chanson D’Amour, Boy from New York City and The Twilight Zone, specially orchestrated and performed with the Sydney Symphony.

The Manhattan Transfer has released 25 albums garnering several Grammy awards and consistently breaking new musical ground. They have collaborated with the likes of Phil Collins, Bette Midler, Smokey Robinson and BB King.

Don’t miss a wonderful night of entertainment as our very own internationally acclaimed Sydney Symphony join the master of vocal harmony, The Manhattan Transfer in the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall.
