Things to Know to Attach a Headboard to a Platform Bed Frame

You have just bought a platform bed frame but you need to attach a headboard. Probably you like sitting up in bed reading books or watching TV. A headboard will add some comfort and style to the entire room. This should not take your whole day and you do not need to hire experts to fix it for you. It’s something that you can do but before you start, there are several things that you need to know.

Check if the Bed Frame has Brackets

The screw holes on the headboard must be lined up with the bed frame’s brackets. These are the slots that you see on the bed frame. From the available parts, slide a washer into a bolt. On the headboard leg hole and on the respective bracket in the bed frame, insert a bolt and screw a nut on it. Tighten it completely. Repeat the same on the other side as it will be faster and easier to attach the headboard like this. After all the sides are done, tighten the bolts again as they should be finger-tight and cover them if they protrude.
