New York-based pianist/composer Barney McAll is returning to Australia with New York-based guitarist Nir Felder to perform at the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz, as well as undertaking a national tour with his Sylent Running project which includes Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Byron Bay. In addition he will perform in Melbourne and Sydney as part of Jonathan Zwartz’s CD Launch of “The Sea”, and also perform in Melbourne with U.S. colleague Jay Rodriguez (tenor saxophone).
Sylent Running will be launching and promoting their new CD, “Empathy Chip”, which features Barney McAll (piano, synths, programming, insect processing, chucky); Gian Slater (voice); Christopher Hale (electric & acoustic bass guitar, bass vi, synths); Nir Felder (guitar); Dan West (programming, live processing, electronics, synths); and, Jojo Mayer (live drums).
