JAZZWA has just been advised that it has received International Pathways funding of $5,000 from the Australia Council.
These funds are being provided for attendance at the IAJE Conference in Los Angeles and MIDEM, Cannes, France in January 2005, as well as for the development other European contacts to help create opportunities for Australian artists, through promotion of the National Jazz Website www.jazz.org.au.
Although the funding at this stage will not stretch to obtaining a booth at both festivals, as originally hoped, we will be looking into alternative ways of maximising our exposure at these events.
