  • Tina Harrod Work Songs Best Australian Jazz Vocal Album
  • Jeremy Rose Young Australian Jazz Artist of the Year
  • The Syncopaters Live at the Famous Spiegeltent Best Australian Classic Jazz Album
  • Way Out West New Grooves for Old Streets Best Australian Jazz Ensemble of the Year.

Music was present throughout the evening. Singer Tina Harrod and saxophone player Jeremy Rose performed with house band Ken Schroeder’s ‘Spring’ after receiving their respective awards and Joe Chindamo played a Memoriam piece as attendees remembered members of the jazz community who had passed away during the previous year.

Graeme Bell AO, MBE also attended the ceremony this year and delivered a short speech including some brief reminiscences of his own jazz experiences.

The ceremony ended on a musical note with a short improvised piece by Mike Nock, before VIPs and artists continued celebrating at a gala dinner hosted by Albert Dadon, Chairman of the Board of the awards.
