Abstruction CDYou are welcome to add listings to the Jazz Australia website including recording information and CD releases if your work is reflective of jazz and improvised music.

For the gigs, we request that only Australian listings are included.  Here are the how to's.

How to submit a gig

The Gig guide allows you to promote a performance.  Click on Submit a Gig from the Member Options menu.

Probably the first thing that you should do before adding all the details, is to check that the venue is listed.

Click the select icon, to the right of the venue field, and see if you can find your venue. If its not there, feel free to add it to the Jazz Australia Directory !

Add the details of the Gig and click Save, at the top-right of the screen.

How to include yourelf in the Directory of recordings

Jazz Australia maintains an online directory of recordings.  You can contribute MP3s to this after you've logged into your account.  Select the Recordings link, and at the top of the list of recordings there is a link to submit a file.  Click on this and follow the steps that allow you to upload an MP3.  You can write details about the recording and also add a link to an associated website if you like.

You can add MP3s in two areas of the website:
1)  The Recordings Directory
2)  Your profile in the general directory (available from the website's top menu)

When you add a recording to the recordings directory, it's then made available as a podcast that the general public visiting the website can subscribe to.

Submitting an article to Jazz Australia

You can apply to have the ability to submit articles to Jazz Australia.  If you're account allows you to submit an article for publishing on the website, there will be an additional link available to you after you log in: Submit an Article

After you've typed in an article, there is some publishing information that you should add.  You can select the section and category that you'd like the article to be included in, some data (called Metadata) that helps search engines to correctly list the content, and you should select the Australian state that the article is most relevant to.
