The directory is divided into two distinct sections – one for jazz performers and artists, and the other for businesses and other activities.  You can create a profile for yourself or your venue by:

1)  Navigating to the area you'd like to add the profile
2)  Clicking Add your profile, which is at the top right of the list of profiles

If you want to change the category you've selected, you can do this by clicking Manage Category, which is the first option at the top of the profile

The next option allows you to indicate if you are a venue, available to host gigs.  If you are, you should select yes, and your venue's details will also be made available in the Gig Guide.

Add your name, and a description to your profile.  If you want to link to an article on the website, or in another website, or to a recording thats been uploaded into the Recordings catalogue, you can do this by clicking the chain (with a +) icon.  Full descriptions of all the functions provided by the icons are available by clicking top-left question-mark icon.

You can complete any of the available contact details fields.  If you've indicated that you are a venue, these will also be included in the Gig Guide venue listings.

Any fields that you leave empty will not display in your profile.  You can also add them at a later stage if you like.

If you've entered an address, you'll also have the option of including a Google map in your profile, by clicking Locate in Map a bit further down the screen.

You can upload a link to a MP3 to your profile, link a to a YouTube video, or choose to upload a video.  Please do not upload large files ie anything over 100kb  may be removed.  We are a voluntary non for profit service and as such we cannot afford memory to store large files.
