In the spirit of loving a train ride, you can catch the jazz train to Dubbo, for the Dubbo Jazz Festival.

This festival is presenting a line-up from trad to mainstream, swing to gypsy and blues.

This year’s event will be the largest festival to date, with over 200 musicians involved in nearly 50 concerts. In 2013 we bring you a unique experience, the opening concert event – the Graeme Bell Legacy Concert featuring artists who performed with Graeme over his long illustrious career and mirroring the Dubbo Australian Jazz Convention of 1970.

Before you even get to town you can book a seat on the very first Dubbo Jazz Train departing Sydney on Friday 9 August. This year we have introduced a chance for the audience to join in with both Ukulele workshops with Chuck Morgan from the Janet Seidel Trio plus Swing Dance workshops with the Canberra Swing Katz. The swing dance workshop will conclude in a Big Band night, a spectacular evening featuring the 20 strong Admiral’s Own Big Band, RAN plus local support.
