Easter Monday will present a meeting of majestic proportions to Perth jazz audiences with two celebrated international artists; NYC multiple Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Gary Bartz and German-born pianist Christoph Spendel accompanied by the local Libby Hammer Trio.
Gary and Christoph have known of each other for many years, but tonight marks the first time they will be performing together. Both artists enjoy impressive biographies (see below) and it is the honour of the Perth Jazz Society to welcome them to the stage tonight. Joining Gary and Christoph will be local songstress Libby Hammer, double bassist Peter Jeavons and drummer Michael Perkins.
