Sydney-based vocalist Kristin Berardi will perform at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland next month.
Ms Beradi reached the semi-final stage of the Shure Montreux Jazz Voice Competition and will now sing on 3 and 4 July in front of a jury led by Al Jarreau.
Kristin took third place at the 2005 National Jazz Awards at the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and has recorded in New York with jazz trombonist Jim Pugh and pianist Kenny Werner.
She is currently working with guitarist James Sherlock on an album slated for release later this year and will appear with James in Brisbane on Sunday 28 May at the Zoo for Jazz on A Sunday Vibe and on June 10-11 at the North Coast Jazz Festival in Bangalow.
