Virna Sanzone is an accomplished artist by anyone’s standards. Opening for Ernest Ranglin and Roy Ayers on their recent tours, and having worked with the likes of Paul Mac, Paul Capsis, Jackie Orszaczky, and a who’s who of Australian jazz luminaries, to many this musician’s singer would need no introduction.

A fine example of an artist able to deliver a song with effortless skill, passion and soul, Virna will be celebrating the release of her self-titled debut album at The Basement on 30th May.

Joining her on the night will be Matt McMahon (piano), Sam Rollings (guitar), Alex Hewetson (bass), Hamish Stuart (drums), Elana Stone and Vanessa Baker (backing
vocals) plus special guests, all complimented by pianist Gerard Masters performing an opening solo set.
