Jazz Queensland are inviting registrations from jazz and improvised music artists who would like to be considered as part of their 2012 program of events. Interested artists can apply via the online Jazz Queensland performance opportunities register. The Jazz Qld performance opportunities register allows artists to submit bio's and contact details via the online application form for upcoming Jazz Qld presentations.
Jazz Qld events expose artists to new audiences, increase performance opportunities, encourage the development of new work and provide new avenues for established and emerging artists to present their high quality original material.
By increasing performance opportunities for our artists we will not only create spin-off benefits that result in ongoing bookings, increased audiences and CD sales, artists will also have an increased opportunity to develop skills in live spontaneous improvisation and collaboration which is at the very heart of our unique art form.
While there is no guarantee of being offered a gig, Jazz Qld will be closely considering all suitable acts in this register.
